My Excursion to Egypt and Israel
I have affectionate memories of my excursion to Egypt and Israel with my family in 1980. This was my most memorable excursion abroad and my most memorable visit to a far off country beyond Canada. We went with a gathering of 26 individuals, for the most part elderly people ladies from Hadassah and their spouses. diving trips in gouna Our Rabbi, Marty Weiner, coordinated the outing. We had the option to visit Egypt because of the superior Bedouin Israeli relations at that point, following the 1978 Camp David Arrangement.
We took four departures from San Francisco to Cairo, which took a sum of 30 hours, remembering visits for New York, Paris, and Athens. I review the amazing perspective on the prolific Nile Valley in the generally desolate Sahara Desert. When we showed up, we were dead drained! We went to an evening show at the Pyramids, however I continued snoozing off during the show, in spite of it being very fantastic.
We cherished Egypt. As a matter of fact, I'd say it was the feature of the outing for the greater part of us. We required a roadtrip up to the Pyramids, which were great. We rode camels up to the Pyramids and were defied by various poor people en route. Something else we cherished in Egypt was the burial chamber of Rameses VI, which happened for a portion of a mile or somewhere in the vicinity.
We weren't as dazzled with Israel, regardless of being Jewish. As far as I might be concerned, the greater part of Israel doesn't appear to be an excess of unique from the US. We additionally found the Israelis very discourteous. I adored Jerusalem, be that as it may, including the Crying Wall and the Middle Easterner Mosque. Jerusalem is a really lovely city. Despite the fact that I'm not by any stretch strict, I couldn't resist the opportunity to rather feeling awed by its persona.
